The Cart Shed
The quaint two-storey barn conversion is located in a peaceful small village in South Norfolk near Norwich. There are fields and countryside on the doorstep and there is an abundance of wildlife including buzzards, deer, hares, barn owls and cuckoos living in the surrounding fields and open areas. The barn is well located for those wanting to explore the Broads, South Norfolk, Norwich city centre (only 8 miles away) and many of Norfolk’s beaches (30 mins away). There are also a number of local beauty spots within quick and easy reach such as Wheatfen Nature Reserve, Rockland Marshes Nature Reserve and Wherryman's Way.
The barn is located within a 5-minute drive of the market town of Loddon which has excellent facilities such as a farm shop, convenience stores, restaurants, numerous pubs, beauty salons, Boots chemists and much more. We also have a local pub and a large children’s playground within walking distance of the barn.
We also have a local vineyard in the neighbouring village where guests can enjoy tasting sessions and vineyard tours.

About the Cart Shed (Barn stay)
The barn is located within the garden of our home and was converted by us in 2019. We have made the barn warm and cosy so that it has a homely feel and believe it is the little touches/details that make this barn special. There is plenty of off-street parking and there is an area to the side of the barn for guests to enjoy drinks or a meal outside.
The barn has been converted to include some of the original features and is light and airy inside whilst being cosy.
There is a good-sized entrance hall with plenty of room for shoes and coats.
The small but well-equipped kitchen has a hob/oven with extractor, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is plenty of crockery, pans and all the essential items such as a toaster and kettle to ensure guests feel at home.
The snug lounge area features a TV (free view channels), sofa and table and chairs for dining.
There are two bathrooms in the barn; one upstairs (en-suite) and one downstairs. Both bathrooms have WC, basin and shower. The upstairs en-suite has a shower over the bath and the downstairs has a walk-in shower.
The bedroom spans the whole of the upstairs of the barn (together with the en-suite) and has a king bed. We can accommodate babies/children in a travel cot or small single bed in the main bedroom upon request. There are armchairs in the bedroom looking out onto the main house garden and fields for guests to relax. Beds are dressed in very soft linens and towels and basic toiletries (shower gel, lotion) are provided for all guests to use. There are also drawers and hanging facilities for clothes and items such as hairdryer are provided.

It is one of 7 apartments in a small, quiet building that overlooks the sea. Mundesley has a Blue Flag sandy beach and promenade and lots of local amenities for visitors. Mundesley is within a conservation area and is a traditional seaside resort with wide open stretches of beach. The apartment can sleep 4 and accommodate a dog. It also benefits from private parking and a large, private patio/garden area.
